FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to count calories?

For most individuals and goals, no. I build meal plans that take into account calories, macros and more so that you can focus on food choices instead of numbers. This way when you are on your own, you know how to enjoy eating without counting calories or points. My goal is to help you achieve your goals and have a healthy relationship with food.

Do I have to buy pre-packaged food or supplements?

Nope! I work with foods you purchase at the grocery store (or restaurant) and there are no required supplements. I may recommend supplements (such as vitamin D) based on your needs (such as a deficiency).

Do you offer in-person appointments or telehealth?

Yes! I have an office in downtown Wallingford (185 Center St.) with plenty of free and easy parking.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, I offer telehealth that is encrypted and secure.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I offer payment plans on our Flexible Meal Plans with Coaching Program.

Do you take HSA’s (Health Savings Accounts)?

Yes, I can accept HSA’s for all services. We encourage you to check with your HSA account to ensure it is a covered expense.

Do you take FSA’s (Flexible Spending Accounts)?

Yes, I can accept FSA’s. However, we highly recommend you check with your account on what they consider coverable. Most FSA’s require a diagnoses to be covered. SuperBillls can be provided if requested by the FSA.

Can you provide SuperBills for FSA’s or insurance reimbursement?

Sure can! However, I highly recommend you speak with your FSA or insurance provider on coverage as each plan is different.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance as it rarely covers what people need to succeed long term. After coaching for over 17 years, I’ve found that most people need a personalized meal plan for direction and weekly coaching sessions for accountability, education, and support. This is the recipe for long term success. Many insurance plans don’t offer any coverage and those who do may only cover 1-3 visits. No insurance covers meal plans.
